Horst Lemke












































































Diese brillianten Federzeichnungen von Horst Lemke, sind für das Astrid Lindgren Buch "Rasmus, Pontus und der Schwertschlucker" entstanden. Meine "dtv junior - Pelikan Sonderausgabe" ist von 1978 und hat einen Umschlag, der unter der Verwendung einer Illustration von "Celestino Piatti" neugestaltet wurde.
Die Orginalausgabe, mit dem von Lemke gestalteten Cover, ist bei dem Hamburger Verlag "Friedrich Oetinger" im Jahre 1958 erschienen und als Hardcover noch heute lieferbar.

You´re right! It is fantastic to be featured on drawn! Now my work seems to make more sense. I love the line work of "Horst Lemke" too. He is one of those guys who is not completely forgotten because he illustated some german children`s books classics. But I bet no one on the street will know his name. I am looking forward to post more of his stuff here!
